Summer
Festival Photo Album
O VERALL, this year’s fun
weekend festival was something of a disappointment.
The weather did not help, of course, and attendance at the
Friday evening barn dance was very poor. Hurstwood Park League of Friends were
also forced to cancel their Saturday Hop and Barbecue because of poor ticket
sales.
Things were off to a bad start on Friday evening with the
cancellation of the School Sports Day competition because of the very small
number of entries.
The Trustwide Events Group had
already decided to revive the popular bed push race and fancy dress next year,
and this may help to revive interest. Fortunately, Saturday was better
supported, although attendances were down on last year.

The ingenious Flying Buttresses who
were a great hit with the children.

Veronica and Colin Carter on their
Mid Sussex South Access Group stand. They were seeking nominations for their
annual ‘We Care’ awards for shops and organisations that make substantial
efforts to facilitate the use of their premises and services by disabled people.
