AGENDA
FOR CHANGE update |
A
s you know, as a Trust, we are behind with the assimilation of staff onto the new Agenda for Change payscales. This is largely due to the very slow submission of job descriptions. There are understandable reasons for this, but we cannot escape the fact that we are falling behind the national timescales.
To get us back on track, we are going to do what some other Trusts have done; we are calling it "interim transfer". The end results are the same and you as staff bear no risk.
Jobs which fall into predictable bands will be moved onto those bands quickly, for example nationally approved nursing or allied health professional grades.
If you are affected, you will receive a letter informing you of the decision. You will then be paid on the next highest point to your Whitley salary, taking into account any leads and allowances.
This does not mean that you do not need to submit a job description. They still need to be agreed by post holders and their managers and submitted to the Agenda for Change office for evaluation by the due date.
Your job will then be processed in the normal Agenda for Change way. If you come out on the expected band, any back pay due to you will be paid.
If you have been overpaid (because you have put on a higher than expected pay point) the Trust will not claim any money back from you.
You cannot lose!
If you would like to know more, come along to one of the briefing sessions which will be advertised.
If you cannot make the sessions, look on the Intranet, ask your manager or contact the Agenda for Change office on x5949 (24 hour answerphone) or email agendaforchange@bsuh.nhs.uk
