The sun
shone for much of the time during the trust’s first summer festival.
The two-day event was
an unqualified success with attendances totalling nearly 1,300 on Friday evening
and just over 1,000 on Saturday afternoon.
Staff travelling from Brighton were
impressed with the attractive surroundings of the Princess Royal site, raising
the question whether it should host the event every year instead of alternating
with Sussex House.

A
brilliant firework display lit up the night sky over the main stage to bring
Friday evening’s programme to a spectacular conclusion.

The

A 1929
Dennis fire engine was a popular attraction for young children on Saturday
afternoon including Personnel’s Annalee Ward’s niece and nephews, Rebecca
and Harry Ward and Charlie Packham.
