'No bullying
culture,' personnel director claims
A LLEGATIONS that
bullying and
harassment are rife in the trust have been refuted.
In an open letter to staff
referring to recent media coverage, personnel director Chris Wilson says
bullying can occur at any time in a large organisation.
But he reminds staff that the
trust has a policy to support them. On no occasions would such behaviour be
considered acceptable, he says.
"If you feel you are
being bullied or harassed you should report this to your manager or, if this is
not possible, to a senior member of the personnel department or your trade union
representative.
"This may be a difficult
step to take, but it is the only way any allegation like this can be exposed and
dealt with.
"No-one has anything to fear from this
policy – apart from the bullies and harassers themselves."
